‘10,000 Hours’ is the new track from atmospheric pop artist, Spielmann. There’s an innocent beauty to his music, with a kaleidoscopic palette of musical colours crafting a neon bed for his conversational vocal. There are elements of 80s pop in there, but also modern art-pop influences and appreciation for an anthemic indie chorus. “I've been knocking around this idea of writing a song about doing a podcast for a while. I find the idea of normal blokes doing podcasts quite amusing, there's an arrogance in thinking people are so interested in what you have to say about craft beer that they'd actively choose to listen to it.” Spielmann drops his debut EP, Fifteen Minutes With Spielmann, this year. In what is possibly a first, the Leeds artist has teamed up with North Star Coffee Roasters to release the album as a download on the side of a bag of coffee. Make of that what you will. -Dan Peeke
